I have been so impressed by the work Roy did!

Several years ago, Roy Whittemore of Roy’s Performance Motors installed a Ford 427 Sohc “Cammer” motor in one of my 1967 Ford Fairlanes. The installation required extensive modification to the shock towers, a re-design of clutch linkage, and re-positioning of the master cylinder. The instillation also required a complex re-design as well as manufacturing of the exhaust headers, which was made more complicated by the fact that I wanted the entire suspension system left just as ford had designed it (i.e. stock).

Before Roy installed the Sohc motor, he did a complete check of the bottom end and did a dyno test which netted 635 HP and 540 lbs of torque at the flywheel. Not bad for a 50 year old “factory” motor!

All of the work I just described was done more than 15 years ago, in which time I have put on more than 20,000 miles – some of which have been very hard miles at 7,000 RPM. I have been so impressed by the work Roy did on that 1967 Ford Fairlane that he is currently doing the exact same thing for me on another 1967 Ford Fairlane. The only difference between the two is that the first one was black and this one is white. I can’t wait to get my hands on it!!
